IMPORTANT NOTE:  

The information and link on this page (below) is exclusively for the registration of BRAND NEW students to Olmsted Falls Schools planning to enter into grades 1 to 12 during the CURRENT 2021-2022 school year.  If you need to register a new Kindergarten student for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, please return to the main webpage and select the 2022-2023 KINDERGARTEN/PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION link.

 

New Student Registration for the 2021 – 2022 school year is OPEN for all grade levels. We look forward to welcoming your student(s) to Olmsted Falls City Schools! 

The FIRST STEP is for you to complete the initial online registration for your student(s).  You can get started by clicking the link highlighted in yellow below. Our online registration portal includes the ability to upload all supporting documents needed to regsiter a new students, such as birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization, photo ID, and custody papers (if applicable).

At the end of the online registration process for each student, you will be directed to call the school building you are registering the student in to scheduled an appointment and complete the registration process. For your convenience, building contact information is also provided at the bottom of this page.  If you have students in multiple buildings and need to come in to complete the registration process, we will make all attempts to complete registrations for all of your students through the building that your oldest student will attend.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Following is the list of documents required to complete the registration process for your student(s).  These are the documents our team will try to collect from you electronically if possible.  Assistance and further direction will be provided when our building reaches out to you following completion of the initial online registration form.  If it is not possible for you to submit required documents electronically, then you will need to bring them with you to an in-person registration appointment.

  • Parent/Guardian Picture ID: The parent/guardian must provide a passport/driver's license or a state picture I.D. as proof of identity. Only the legal guardian of the student may register the student.

  • Proof of Residency: Parents/guardians must submit documents proving residency. For the protection of all residents, it is the obligation of parents/guardians seeking to enroll a student to prove they legally reside in the Olmsted Falls City School District. The district will NOT enroll without proof of residence. The only documents accepted for proof of residency are:

    • Rental/lease agreement signed by the manager and renter/lessee

    • Purchase agreement signed by all concerned parties

    • Construction contract signed by all concerned parties

    • Property tax bill

    • Mortgage/Escrow statement

    • Electric, Gas, and/or Sewer/Water bill

    • Residency affidavit

  • Guardianship/Custody Documents (if applicable): A certified copy of any Court Order establishing Custody or Guardianship from Domestic Relations Court, Probate Court, Juvenile Court, or any other Court of competent jurisdiction which has issued an order regarding the custody of the student being registered. To verify guardianship or custody, the following are the only acceptable proofs:

    • A certified, time-stamped court order indicating custody together with any modification (3313.672 ORC) attached to the Custody Form.

    • A time-stamped notice of the application for appointment of guardian from probate court (valid for 60 days)

    • A certified copy of court placement orders for foster children attached to the Foster Children Form (form to be completed at time of registration).

These are the only acceptable custody or guardian papers. A letter from the current guardian giving temporary custody is NOT acceptable. Any changes or modifications in the custody orders must also be submitted.

  • Student's Birth Certificate: The parent/guardian must present an original or certified copy. In lieu of a birth certificate, a birth affidavit, a passport or an attested transcript of a passport filed with a registrar of passports at a point of entry of the United States showing the date and place of birth of the student may be accepted.

  • Student's Complete and Updated Immunization Records (Click Here)

  • Student's Report Card and/or copy of High School Transcript. IF REGISTERING FOR 10th, 11th OR 12th GRADE YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF ANY HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.  STUDENTS WITHOUT REPORT CARD AND/OR HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT WILL NOT BE ENROLLED.  WE WILL ACCEPT AN UNOFFICIAL COPY.

  • Students with Special Needs Records, if applicable: Provide copies of the following:

    • Evaluation Team Report (ETR)

    • Individualized Education Program (IEP)

    • 504 Plan

 

PLEASE NOTE:  We have recently converted our registration forms to a new format that better supports ADA needs and utilization via mobile apps.  You will notice the actual entry field area is directly below the field label.  Additionally, you will need to complete all required entry areas for the form or page visible on your screen before clicking on the SUBMIT button for a page.   

 

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING  PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION:  

Please note that twenty typical peer preschoolers have already been selected for participation in the 2020-2021 ECC special needs preschool program.  There are currently no spaces available for 2020-2021 for typical peers, however we will be happy to refer you to other local community preschool programs when you call. 

If you are interested in registering a child in the ECC Preschool Program, PLEASE CALL THE ECC OFFICE AT (440) 427-6360 FIRST BEFORE BEGINNING THE ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS.  All parents of all potential preschool students must first contact the office BEFORE registering online. 

Parents of incoming preschool students with special needs should contact the ECC office at (440) 427-6360 for instructions on how to begin the registration process for your child.
