UPDATE FOR PARENTS ON HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING CLOSURE

Thank you to all high school parents for your responsiveness to our need to have students picked up following Wednesday morning’s evacuation.  The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us, and we appreciate your efforts in assisting us with today’s precautionary evacuation and school closure.

 

- Olmsted Falls High School (building and grounds) have been 100% cleared.  No devices of any type have been found.  Olmsted Township Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.  To view a copy of the information provided to media at this morning's joint press briefing, please click HERE.

- Olmsted Falls High School will re-open Thursday, October 17. 

- In order to ensure an organized return to the building, the High School will be closed for the remainder of the day on Wednesday. We understand that this may be an inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

- All students should plan to report directly to their first period classes when they arrive on Thursday morning.  All belongings left in the building during this morning’s evacuation will be locked and secure in the classrooms.

- Students who drove to school on Wednesday are permitted to come to the High School parking lot to pick up their vehicle at any time Wednesday afternoon or evening.

- Regarding afternoon and evening activities:

• All afternoon and evening activities and events have been cancelled. Rescheduled event dates (i.e., Heritage Dinner) will be posted on the website as they are confirmed.

• OFHS Athletes will receive specific communication from their coaches regarding cancellations or changes of practices and games.

PSR classes scheduled for Wednesday night have been cancelled.

• OFHS Varsity Soccer game will take place as scheduled at the Middle School field.

•OFHS Varsity Volleyball game at Midview High School will also take place as scheduled.

- Information regarding the PSAT test make-up date will be provided once it is confirmed.
