Dear Bulldog Families,
Thank you to all parents and guardians who took time to complete the recent survey link for each student in your household. Having information available regarding your intentions as it relates to sending your student(s) to school in-person when the district is able to transition to a 4 or 5 day a week model is critical to the next steps in our planning process. Individual surveys were completed for more than 90% of our students in grades 1-12. (Any student without a completed survey will be automatically assigned to their current pathway for planning purposes.) This important online survey is now officially closed and the process of reviewing the data, along with our other metrics, is underway.
We anticipate being able to announce the district’s decision by this Wednesday, February 3rd regarding increasing the number of in-person school days. We realize that changes in our instructional model mean changes for family schedules that require consideration and planning. We remain committed to providing you with the latest information as soon as it becomes available.
As we continue to analyze the latest data regarding our ability to transition to increased in-person instruction, we are also working with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and the Ohio Department of Health on logistics relating to administering the COVID vaccine to our staff. Our district has been included in the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution List for Phase 1B (K-12 Schools) “Week 2” (beginning February 8th), and has been assigned a local pharmacy as our vaccine provider. We have been pleased to see progress on this important effort in recent days and continue to coordinate local logistics.
