New Partnership Provides Vitamix With Field Naming Rights as Well as Opportunities to Enhance Student Curriculum and Food Service Offerings

February 2019 -- Olmsted Falls City School District is pleased to announce a new collaborative partnership with Vitamix, a manufacturer of internationally renowned, high-performance blending equipment headquartered locally in Olmsted Township. This unique collaboration features three key components that benefit both partners, including football field naming rights, student curriculum enhancements, and food services support.

Olmsted Falls City School District and Vitamix have entered into an agreement that will provide an important alternative revenue stream to the school district while providing Vitamix with an opportunity to further enhance its many existing connections within the local community. One of the key elements of the new partnership is naming rights to the Olmsted Falls High School football field, which will be officially dedicated as “Vitamix Field” at Charles Harding Memorial Stadium when the 2019 season gets underway this fall. This field naming rights component of the partnership is structured to generate $200,000 for the school district over the next 10 years.

“We are extremely excited at this opportunity to deepen our relationship with Vitamix and look forward to the multiple elements of this new partnership,” said Dr. Jim Lloyd, Superintendent of Olmsted Falls City Schools.  “In addition to Vitamix Field becoming a reality, we will also be working collaboratively with the company on innovative curriculum and food service projects.”

“We are thrilled to partner so closely with the Olmsted Falls City Schools,” said Vitamix President and CEO Dr. Jodi L. Berg. “Vitamix has been a member of the Olmsted community for more than 70 years, so it’s an honor to contribute in this way to one of Northeast Ohio’s premier school districts. Our corporate purpose is to liberate and nourish the zest for life. Doing that for Olmsted Falls students is a wonderful opportunity that our employees will relish.”

Vitamix team members will be working directly with the Assistant Superintendent and a team of district educators on infusing real-world experiences into areas of specific high school curriculum.

Additionally, Vitamix team members will be working closely with the district’s Director of Food Services on the implementation of new menu items for students. To support these efforts, Vitamix has donated blending equipment valued at more than $10,000 to be distributed throughout the district, including four Vita-Prep 3 machines, four Vitamix XL machines, and one Blending Station Advance.

Moving forward, a preliminary presentation outlining partnership progress and collaboration to date will be made before the Olmsted Falls Board of Education at its regular monthly meeting set for Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Olmsted Falls High School Media Center.
