OLMSTED FALLS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NAMES NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER EFFECTIVE WITH 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR

Brian Zeller Brings Nearly Two Decades of Experience to His New Role as Chief Operating Officer of Olmsted Falls City Schools

 

New OFCS COO Mr. Brian ZellerOlmsted Falls, OH — June 2022 — The Olmsted Falls Board of Education is pleased to officially announce the hiring of a new Chief Operating Officer for Olmsted Falls City Schools.  At a special meeting held June 2, 2022, the Board voted to approve the Superintendent’s recommendation to employ Mr. Brian Zeller in the administrative position of Chief Operating Officer effective with the start of the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.  Mr. Zeller will officially begin in his position as the district’s new COO on August 1, 2022, prior to the start of the new school year.  

“Mr. Zeller is an experienced school administrator with a proven skill set that will be a great asset to our district in his new role as our Chief Operating Officer,” said Dr. Jim Lloyd, superintendent of Olmsted Falls City Schools.  “Mr. Zeller’s character, background and experience impressed our team during the selection process and we are excited to have him join Olmsted Falls City Schools.”

Mr. Zeller comes to Olmsted Falls City Schools after working as a building principal in Fremont and Vermilion.  Most recently, he served as the principal of Ross High School in the Fremont City School District.  Prior to his work as a building principal, Mr. Zeller was a Social Studies teacher and Athletic Director in Pennsylvania.  He has also worked with adjudicated youth from Philadelphia and at-risk students in Toledo.    

"I am extremely excited and humbled to be joining the Olmsted Falls City Schools team.  Joining a district that focuses on the whole student with the Triple A experience is something that I value greatly, and that drew me to apply,” said Mr. Zeller.  “I look forward to supporting our staff so we can continue to provide exemplary service to the students and families of the Olmsted Falls City School District.”

Mr. Zeller holds a Masters of Science degree in Special Education from Marywood University.  Mr. Zeller earned his principal's certificate from Marywood University and his superintendent's certificate from Ashland University.  His undergraduate degrees are from Lourdes University and include a Bachelor of Science degree in Adolescent-to-Young Adult (AYA) Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. 

Mr. Zeller will replace current OFCS COO Dr. James Tatman, who has been a member of the district administrative team since 2013.  Dr. Tatman will be leaving at the end of July for a superintendent position at another school district in Ohio.  Mr. Zeller and Dr. Tatman will have the opportunity to work together during a number of transition days prior to Dr. Tatman’s departure.
